Cut
The only C shaped entirely by the craftsman. Cut decides how light enters, bounces and leaves the stone — it is what makes a diamond sparkle. A well-cut stone outshines a larger, poorly cut one every time.
Guides
Four letters decide the beauty and the price of a diamond. Here is what each one really means — and the standard we hold every LevSense stone to.
The only C shaped entirely by the craftsman. Cut decides how light enters, bounces and leaves the stone — it is what makes a diamond sparkle. A well-cut stone outshines a larger, poorly cut one every time.
White diamonds are graded from D (perfectly colourless) down the alphabet. Every LevSense stone sits in the D-E range — the top of the scale, icy white to the eye and under the loupe.
Clarity measures the tiny natural inclusions inside a stone. Ours are graded VS1-VS2 — inclusions so small they are difficult to find under 10× magnification, and completely invisible to the naked eye.
Carat is a weight, not a size — but as a rule of thumb, the visible diameter grows with the cube root of the weight. Our rings are offered with 1, 1.5 or 2 carat centre stones, so you can see the difference before you choose.
A lab-grown diamond is a diamond — same carbon crystal, same hardness, same fire. It is grown in a laboratory instead of mined from the earth, which means a controlled origin and a stone graded by the same independent laboratories, on the same scales.
